At last, we may have a technique that could allow family members to communicate with comatose loved ones. Isn't this amazing?

ALthough yes/no limitation is depressing. One could use 20 questions to let them spell out words ("is the first letter in the first half of the alphabet? is it in a-f?") but Morse code would be faster, which is why I've learned it -- though more for being able to blink or twitch a finger.

MRI's pretty inconvenient too. They need some better neural hookup.
