Sunday communiques with the family

Why is it that whenever I phone home I'm met with greetings like "three black bears came into our garden and destroyed the gazebo?"

Sheesh.

Meanwhile my brother decided to go to Japan. From him I get emails about Japanese baseball games like this one:

"The cheerleaders are cute, I talked to them while being manhandled by the mascot. Pictures to follow. Anyway, so i got my stuff and had a pretty good seat, noticing probbly over one thousand people already seated. It was then that I saw the display that said `game time 6pm`. What amazed me was the number of people there as the batting practice was going on (still, two hours before and several thousand people there?). the organized chants were cool; you can only cheer your team, you can:t boo the other team or the ref. this from the people who gave us laterns made from human skin.

The other team (from Hiroshima) won. Must`ve been the radiation."
