So the Breaking Bad finale was good, and gave us the ending Walt's trajectory had suggested. But damn. I admit to having hoped for a happier end than that.

Conversation in the comments, those who've seen it?

It was an adequate ending, but something felt...too easy. After all that buildup, everything just sort of fell together, and that's antithetical to the way most of the rest of Breaking Bad is about everything falling apart. Not a single surprise. For my money, Ozymandius was the best episode of the final arc.

On another note, I *loved* the use of silence in this episode. So many of the scenes were totally devoid of dialogue, and it gave the actors a chance to really show off.

I anticipated that Walt would have a bit more trouble taking down Lydia and the Nazis. On the other hand, the writers only had 55 minutes, and by the time we'd got to minute 27 without the Nazis showing up, I suspected we weren't going to see much "try fail" on Walt's part.

I agree re: Ozy being the best episode. That was really Walt's downfall. "Granite State" and "Felina" were just denouement.

I had hoped that Walt & Jesse would partner up one last time to fight the Nazis. But I'll take the little nods between them at the end.
