Dec. 2nd, 2008 12:05 pmOooh! To cheer me up from my less-than-stinging job search rejection, the universe has presented me with a positive review of "The Black Iron Drum" at The Fix:
"It is a rare treat to read such a seamless integration of the old folkloric vampire in a story, a far cry from the overblown, over-romanticized vampires of today’s popular fiction. I highly recommend this compelling tale."
I'm glad now that I decided to remove all references to the vampire's SPARKLEPOWER!
Well, kinda glad.
Actually, the story could have used more glitter.
