That looks like it has nothing to do whatsoever with Earthsea.
Maybe the old guy with the llama is Ogion? I can't imagine who the woman they keep showing could be--it's not Tenar because she's suppposed to be roughly Ged's age, and the woman in the trailer is older than him. There was the dragon mosaic at least, and what looked like it could have been the wizards at the School.
The translation of the Japanese title is 'The Military history of Ged' or 'Ged's war chronicle.' According to the kana naming plates, the older man with the goatee running around with the kids is supposed to be Ged.
That's all I've got so far. This reminds me I need to re-read the series.
Wow. Well... color me intrigued. I've seen the horrors done to Earthsea in the slightly more accurate Sci-Fi adaptation. This couldn't possibly be worse, and might, in its weird Gibli way, be somewhat better.
