Warner Bros. Pictures is planning on turning Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey" into a futuristic space epic reports Variety. Brad Pitt and "Mad Max" helmer George Miller are tied to this new adaptation the property which they hope Pitt will star in and produce while Miller will direct.
Hands off my epic literature! Hands off Mad Max 4! And hands off Bra... No wait. You can have him.
You know who else is making a sci fi movie? Kevin Smith.
Meanwhile, the following sounds like a movie I'd be interested in seeing, even if it does also sound like what happns when someone takes Season 5 of The Wire too far...
Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired John Leake's non-fiction book "Entering Hades" says Variety. The story follows Jack Unterweger, a journalist who led a double life strangling prostitutes in Vienna and Los Angeles, and covering his own crimes in the early 1990s.
In other plots I've kinda seen before on TV: Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci have joined the cast of Plum Pictures psychological thriller "After.Life" says The Hollywood Reporter. Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo's feature debut centers on a young woman (Ricci) caught between life and death. A funeral director (Neeson) appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but may be intent on burying her alive.
I bet you anything it also involves pies.
