Frankly, I don't much care for the evolutionary frame to this article's argument. Evolution has left us with many darn useless traits over the millennia, after all. But I agree that "shyness" can be a valuable quality, and it does seem like in our increasingly loud, extroverted society "shyness" is unfairly stigmatized.
