(no subject)

My proposal meeting was both better and scarier than expected. My advisor thought my proposal was a hair's-breadth from being done, which means that IF I can assemble my committee and IF I can get them to sign off on my list and proposal, I can write my exams this semester.

This is touch-and-go in trems of squeezing the exam in. I'd be taking it in exam week. (You can't take exams over the summer in our dept.)

...which would mean I'd have to read easily 200 books between now and then. ARG!
