re: earlier post

I actually had to doublecheck the date to make sure it wasn't April Fool's Day already.

And then I was inspired to post this, as my personal "nuh-uh" to a movie industry that conspires to make English teachers cry.

From the Real Paradise Lost:

Hail horrors, hail
Infernal world, and thou profoundest Hell
Receive thy new Possessor: One who brings
A mind not to be chang'd by Place or Time.
The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n.
What matter where, if I be still the same,
And what I should be, all but less then hee
Whom Thunder hath made greater? Here at least
We shall be free; th' Almighty hath not built
Here for his envy, will not drive us hence:
Here we may reign secure, and in my choyce
To reign is worth ambition though in Hell:
Better to reign in Hell, then serve in Heav'n.

Yeah. You tell 'em, Satan.

The lesser fallen angels' retort:

"Wait, *you* may get to reign, but we traded serving in Heaven for serving in Hell? This sucketh!"

On th' other side,
Incensed with indignation, Satan stood
Unterrified, and like a comet burned,
That fires the length of Ophiuchus huge
In th' arctic sky, and from his horrid hair
Shakes pestilence and war.

Love me the Milton. Which probably means I'll hate me this movie. C'est la vie.
