Good review. You're right on a lot of points -- the slower, more political parts read much faster in the text form (and are therefore a lot more interesting, since you're not getting lost in the monotony), and some of the best parts are definitely left out of the audio version.

I'm glad you enjoyed the (audio) book! It's been one of my favorite reads this year.
