I mean, you're not wrong about it being a Bad Movie. And the explosive-covered motorcycle was awesome (largely because Maggie Q's character was the only one I cared about in the slightest). But you call Equilibrium's gun kata "nonsense," and then cheer this thing on?
Maybe if they had a script not assembled from dialogue cliches, and/or let Paul Bettany keep his natural accent so he could focus on acting instead of pronouncing his R's, I would back you on the relative merits of those two movies. But no way this is better than Equilibrium, Maggie Q or no Maggie Q. At least Christian Bale's dystopia had nice coats. :-)
