Dude. In the biggest "well, duh" casting news of the week, Peter Dinklage will play Tyrion in HBO's Song of Ice and Fire pilot. In probably more important news, the guy who played the lying reporter on the last season of The Wire is going to direct the pilot. He's directed 2 movies, The Visitor (came out last year to fantastic reviews) and The Station Agent (came out a few years ago to very good reviews). Both of these films were well-received character pieces, which is a good sign: if they were selecting a WhamBoom! action director for this series, I'd panic.
