I was annoyed to see that Cracked's list of worst disaster movies of all time includes Day of the Triffids. Dude. Volcano etc. I'll give you. But picking on DotT for its ridiculous premise? YOU DO NOT APPRECIATE THE POWER OF THE PLANT!

So I was happy to see that the BBC has just cast Vanessa Redgrave and Dougray Scott and Eddie Izzard yes Eddie Izzard in a new Day of the Triffids miniseries and that is just AWESOME.

Eat it bitches. Triffids rule.
