Yesterday I went to see Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle's Dickensian Indian Orphan + Gameshow Saga. I found the first third of the movie pretty darn grim for a movie marketed as the "feel-good film of the year!", but then again, it is directed by Danny Boyle. Those poor little Indian kids should have been glad there were no zombies involved.
Final verdict: a good film, well-directed and well-told, but that may cover too many genres to be everyone's cup of tea. Or rather, everyone will like at least 30 minutes of it.
Attached to the film were trailers for Wolverine, Taken (looks interesting), and Che (heard terrible things, but the trailer got me interested.) I may post these later, when I find them.
