Back from DC

I'd never been to DC before. Nice city. The # of militaristic ads on the metro was interesting, but really I was there for the war memorials and the museums, of which I got to see too few. Next time, I guess.

In other news, my computer has died the death of the funky motherboard, and while I am crossing my fingers for its resurrection, the sad truth is that I'll be without ready internet or cheap, trashy tv for a while.

So nobody should have any news, ok?

George Clooney to star in "Men who stare at goats"

An adaptation of British journalist Jon Ronson's book, the film tells the story of the U.S. Army's First Earth Battalion, a unit that was to use paranormal powers. The title refers to the notion that one can kill a goat by staring at it.

Sounds interesting, Mr. Clooney. I hope this film caries the caveat "No goats were killed with psychic powers during the filming of this movie.
