"Margaret is the fragments of a name"
Aug. 21st, 2007 10:35 amI'm back in B-town for all of one day. Tomorrow I take off to V-city for a wedding of a close friend. This happens to be the first wedding I've attended, and I've come to understand that my Hollywood-fueled expectations may not be fulfilled. I refuse to believe this. An endless stream of romantic comedies have taught me to expect bumbling priests, unanticipated declarations of love, punch-ups between the groom, father and most members of the bridal party, and that someone will fall into the punch bowl and/or multi-tiered wedding cake.
This is what I am expecting. I refuse to be disappointed.
NYC was fabulous - again. There was much rushing around and meeting people. I got to see both the cloisters and Spamalot on this trip, and am now chock-full of the medieval sillies.
I return, of course, to find out that IU is doing its best to cause me budget stress. Again. This time by severely underpaying me. Gotta find out what that's all about. (sigh)
Assuming I solve my budget woes, the wonderful Top Chef show has convinced me that I ought to take some cooking classes. Any recommendations?
One more thing, book-lovin' B-towners: BOOKS, CROOKS & SPACEMEN is going out of business on Thurs, 8/30/07 . Everything is 50% off.
