We will buy many pretty things and party in an attempt to escape the boredom of our pampered existence. Eventually we will pay the price for our indulgence and die unfulfilled and sadly conscious of the utter emptiness of our meaningless lives.
...and some people thought this movie was... fluffy? Well it is, in a horribly bleak stick-your-head-under-the-guillotine-and-end-it-now kinda way.
Perhaps Coppala was listening to the new K-Fed album as she filmed.
On a slightly more positive Marie Antoinette note, I advise you to go look at the following Marie Antonette:the musical! advert my brother sent me from Japan. It's a pity I can't fit the whole thing in the scanner, because I laughed a lot.
