back in Bloomington
Aug. 15th, 2004 05:16 pmWell, I'm back, after one of those horrendous traveling ordeals taht always seems to strike when you least expect it. I barely made my second plane due to the horrendous backup at US customs, after which I had to dash through security and take a shuttlebus to my plane, which I made with 0.5 seconds to spare. I want to point out that when I finally did make it to the desk, the officials didn't know what to do with my SEVIS forms so they just waved me through (so much for the tracking system), and the security guy decided to ignore my various beeping articles of clothing because my plane was taking off in 5 minutes. So much for increased and efficient national security.
I made it to the plane, but my luggage didn't, and neither did the luggage of half the passengers on the plane. And then when I did get to Indianapolis, none of my debit or credit cards worked in Bloomington Shuttle's new and improved ticket machine.
Anyway, I did manage to make it, but I'm still waiting on the luggage. :(
